Yes Sudan is governed by a
council elected by the membership every two years during the General Assembly of
YES Sudan. The YES Sudan officers consist of the President, Vice-President,
Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, and representatives from each of the committee.
Ex-officio members are the retiring President and until its demise.
The committee include:
Technical Program committee, Research Committee, Publication Committee,
Committee on Membership and cooperation and Education & Student Affairs
Committee.
Technical Program committee:
The Technical Program
Committee is chaired by the Technical Program Officer, who is elected by the
YES Sudan membership. The members are the Technical Program Officers,
representing the various disciplines, of the Divisions.
The Technical Program
Committee is responsible for the technical program of the Annual Conference and
other conferences, workshops, meetings etc. of YES Sudan. It supports the
technical program of other conferences, meetings, workshops etc. in cases of
involvement of the network. The work of the Technical Program Committee
comprises the acquisition, refereeing, selection and programming of oral and
poster papers, workshops, field trips…etc., and assistance to the Board in the
long-term planning of the Technical program.
Research Committee:
The YES Sudan Research
Committee may be understood as a “living engine” of ideas, initiatives and
different proposals which encourages members to contribute to the network.
There are three main topics we should continuously be focusing on:
1. 1- Workshops organization during the Annual
Meeting
2. 2- YES Sudan joint research workshops coordination
3. 3- Technical Program suggestions
We should be considering or
even trying to get a higher interaction with equivalent committees these other
societies may have.
Publication Committee
The Publications Committee
is chaired by the Publications Officer, who is elected by the YES Sudan
membership. The Publications Committee co-ordinates between the YES Sudan and
YES Network support the Publications Officer and gives advice to the Board.
Committee on Membership and
cooperation
The objective of the
Committee on Membership and Co-operation is to improve the interaction between
members of the Association and to facilitate the creation and activities of
local chapters and groups of special interest. The Committee supports the
Membership and co-operations officer and gives advice to the Board. Furthermore
the Committee on Membership and Co-operation is responsible for assigning event
support.
Education & Student
Affairs Committee
The Education Committee is
chaired by the Education Officer. Its members are appointed by the Board and
serve for a period of one to two to years. The objective of this committee is
to set up a coherent and integrated program of courses and lectures for the YES
Sudan members or in collaboration with related Societies.

formed in 2013 as National Chapter under YES Network.
