About Us

YES Sudan is a non-profit and non-governmental organization founded by a small group of geoscientists who believed that geoscience, and geoscientists could play a more active role development. It was therefore established to provide a continuing forum for the exchange of ideas, experience and information among all persons concerned with the role of the geosciences in international development. We have monthly luncheon meetings that are open to the public and that feature presentations by professional geoscientists from academia, government, and industry. We also look to host large technical conferences and are active in promoting earth science education in the community. Yes Sudan is based in Khartoum, Sudan.
