YES Sudan is a non-profit and non-governmental organization
founded by a small group of geoscientists who believed that geoscience, and
geoscientists could play a more active role development. It was therefore
established to provide a continuing forum for the exchange of ideas, experience
and information among all persons concerned with the role of the geosciences in
international development. We have monthly luncheon meetings that are open to
the public and that feature presentations by professional geoscientists
from academia, government, and industry. We also look to host large technical
conferences and are active in promoting earth science education in the
community. Yes Sudan is based in Khartoum, Sudan. Have a look through our

The objectives of YES Sudan are as follows:

To initiate, aid, promote and improve the
exchange of information in the earth sciences and related areas via organizing of scientific, technical and other conferences,
seminars, workshops and courses on the role of earth scientists.

To encourage communication between all individuals,
societies, agencies and corporations with an in interest in the application of
the geosciences
·
To maintain links between members and geoscience
information organizations in Sudan and overseas.
·
To encourage and promote activities in
geoscience fields which are related to the needs of developing countries;
·
To promote and encourage among earth scientists
an awareness of their responsible role in the management of natural resources;
·
To emphasize to countries cooperating in
international aid, the fundamental role of the geosciences in social and
economic development.
Through YES Network you will be able to meet other geoscience
information professionals and share contributions and debate on a wide range of
topics.
YES Sudan activities include seminars, workshops and conferences, always with plenty of opportunities
to network in pleasant surroundings. The YES Network website provides access to

Vision and Mission Statement
The YES Sudan Network aims to link early-career geoscientists
through scientific research and interdisciplinary networking. It aims to
provide resources for professional development to prepare early-career
geoscientists for geoscience careers and to help prepare them to serve as key
leaders and advisors on the intersections between environmental sustainability,
geo-resource exploration, and quality of human life issues.
